Madrid, Sep 7 (EFE).- The two lastest dissidents freed by the Cuban government arrived Tuesday in Madrid accompanied by several family members.
Victor Arroyo arrived at Barajas International Airport at 1:50 p.m. on an Iberia flight, accompanied by another six people, while Claro Sanchez flew to the Spanish capital on an Air Europa flight that landed about 40 minutes later with at least four family members, airport authorities told Efe.
The independent journalists were greeted by personnel of the Red Cross psychosocial attention service, who were in charge ot taking them to a hotel in suburban Madrid, where they will spend their first days in Spain.
The two latest arrivals in Madrid bring to 30 the number of political prisoners freed as part of the process of dialogue opened in May between the government of Gen. Raul Castro and Cuba's Catholic hierarchy with the support of the Spanish government.
The communist government in Havana has pledged that all of the remaining "Group of 75" prisoners - referring to dissidents jailed in a March 2003 crackdown - will be freed by the end of next month
