Guadalajara, Mexico, Feb 22 (EFE).- Three people were killed when a Federal Police plane crashed in the western Mexican state of Jalisco, an army spokesman said Wednesday.
The single-engine Commander crashed around 9:00 p.m. Tuesday near the city of Acatic, a 15th Military Zone spokesman in Guadalajara, the capital of Jalisco, told Efe.
Initial reports said the plane crashed and burned in the town of El Refugio while flying from the northwestern state of Baja California to Mexico City.
The Public Safety Secretariat has not identified the victims or provided details on the accident.
Army troops cordoned off the accident scene so investigators and coroner's office personnel could gather evidence and remove the bodies. EFE
